The Barakat Bar

Contemporary urban.  The bar overlooks the beautiful skyline of Denver in one of the most premiere loft complexes Denver has to offer...The Glass House.  This is truly form and function.  The client was looking for clean contemporary design with a warm inviting feel juxtaposed against the urban scenery behind.  The wood used for the surface is an African hardwood called Padauk typically used in the making of marimbas.  The bullnose edge is American Black Walnut.  The design of the steel structure underneath is modern and sleek.  The slender profile of the  legs change as you move through the room.   The idea here was to bring the warmth of the wood up off the floor, while leaving the views as unobstructed as possible.
